megastar Amitabh Bachchan was reportedly hospitalised and later discharged. According to reports, he was admitted to Nanavati Hospital in Vile Parle, Mumbai, on Saturday (May 16). Reports suggest that it was only for a routine check-up and nothing serious. Big B and the Bachchan family are yet to personally confirm or deny the news. However, reports state that he is doing absolutely fine. Amid concerns about his health, the superstar shared a new blog for his fans, proving once again that he is the ultimate entertainer!

On Tuesday, reports claimed that Big B had been admitted to Mumbai’s Nanavati Hospital on Saturday (May 16) due to an unknown health-related issue. He was reportedly placed in the A Wing’s VIP enclosure. His long-time personal physician and gastroenterologist, Dr Jayant Barve, was reportedly treating him. Son Abhishek Bachchan’s car was reportedly seen arriving at the hospital, suggesting he visited his father.However, according to a report by NDTV, the veteran actor was taken there only for a routine check-up. He was soon discharged after the tests and is doing fine.

Sr Bachchan has been dealing with abdominal health issues for quite some time now. For those unversed, he had a near-fatal accident in 1982 while filming Coolie with actor Puneet Issar. During a fight sequence, Issar punched him in the stomach and left him severely injured. The serious intestinal injury he suffered during the incident is said to have left long-term damage. Over the years, he has undergone multiple major abdominal and bowel surgeries to treat complications.
