Sr Bachchan has been dealing with abdominal health issues for quite some time now. For those unversed, he had a near-fatal accident in 1982 while filming
Coolie with actor Puneet Issar. During a fight sequence, Issar punched him in the stomach and left him severely injured. The serious intestinal injury he suffered during the incident is said to have left long-term damage. Over the years, he has undergone multiple major abdominal and bowel surgeries to treat complications.
