Inspired by the landmark judgment of the Supreme Court, the film revisits one of the most controversial and urgent debates of the 1980s, one that remains even relevant now. The trailer of the highly anticipated drama was unveiled at a grand event in Mumbai today (October 27). Haq also stars Sheeba Chaddha, Danish Hussain, and Aseem Hattangady in pivotal roles.

On social media, the trailer was shared online with the caption, "The fight for justice starts today." In Haq, Yami and Emraan play a married couple who face each other in court after the latter divorces her. Yami's character challenges her husband for financial support after he marries for a second time.
