Speaking with Zoom, Rani responded to how she managed to deal with the initial moments of newness in the industry. The actress replied, "This question is asked in hindsight but I genuinely tell you when I was at that stage of my life when I was working, I really had my blinkers on. Maybe those blinkers had earphones as well. I don't know because I didn't hear the chatter that somebody doesn't like my voice or they think I'm very short, or they think my skin is dusky. Those things were not important. What was important is I need to play my character well. I need to deliver in terms of being real to the character that I was playing."

Rani added, "The other chatter of heroine ko aisa hona chahiye, actress should be like this, actress should be like that. I don't think those things really bothered me because also it was not a dream of mine to become an actor, because I was an actor by chance. What was most important for me was to do the films to probably give a better life to my parents and make them comfortable and happy. So I think my initial years went in that."
