Another
exciting season of Percy Jackson and the Olympians ended on January 21 with the young demigods fighting for the fate of the universe yet again. The Disney+ show (streaming in India on JioHotstar) gives our hero Percy Jackson (Walker Scobell) a new mission and formidable foe with former camp member Luke (Charlie Bushnell) as he travels to find the Golden Fleece before the enemy. How does Percy save Camp Half-Blood from being taken over by Kronos and the Titans? And how does the TV adaptation of Rick Riordan’s books move one step closer to the Great Prophecy? Warning: Spoilers Ahead!
What happens to Camp Half-Blood?
The action returns to Camp Half-Blood for the big season finale as Percy, Annabeth (Leah Sava Jeffries), Grover (
Aryan Simhadri), and Tyson (Daniel Diemer) come to save the camp from Kronos’ Giant army. Their former friends and campmates have also changed sides in the battle of Olympus.
Clarisse (Dior Goodjohn) is heading to Thalia’s (Tamara Smart) tree to save her with the Golden Fleece when she is accosted by Chris Rodriguez (Kevin Chacon). It turns out he was Luke’s insider at camp. Soon, an all-out war breaks out with deadly clashes. An enraged Luke is about to stab Percy with his sword when half-brother Tyson intervenes and saves him. Tyson blasts him away, and that’s the last we’ve seen him for now.
Does the gang revive Thalia?
Yes, thanks to the combined efforts of the gang, Clarisse can get her hands back on the Golden Fleece and aim it with a spear back to Thalia’s tree. Once the fleece is on it, Thalia comes back to life. However, a lightning strike hits both Thalia and Percy, and they both fall to the ground.
The truth about Thalia
After Percy wakes up after three days, he, Grover, and Annabeth learn about the truth of what happened the day Thalia arrived at Camp Half-Blood. Activities director Chiron (Glynn Turman) sees the Furies tell Thalia the truth about her father, Zeus (Courtney B Vance). Seeing this, the King of the Olympians strikes them down and confronts his rebellious daughter. She refuses to be a part of his schemes and operate as a weapon in his war. To restrain her, he turns her into a tree. All along, it was believed that the Furies killed Thalia and Zeus ‘saved’ her by turning her into a tree.
How does this set up Percy Jackson Season 3?
The above plot point is a departure from the books, but the Great Prophecy remains, and it's up to either Percy or Thalia to fulfill it. After he is struck by lightning, Percy is visited by his father Poseidon (Toby Stephens) in a dream. He assures Percy that he will be ready for whatever lies ahead. The fate that the universe lies on the young teenager, Poseidon asks his other son, Tyson, to prepare weapons for war.
When the show returns, Camp Half-Blood will hopefully be ready for the upcoming war. Thalia has to choose sides and decide whether to let go of her vendetta against her father or align with her found family with Luke. Annabeth also has a difficult decision to make as her loyalties lie with both Thalia and Percy. The third season is adapting Riordan’s book The Titan's Curse Book and will delve more into the Titans’ quest for revenge against Olympus.

Is there a post-credit scene?
Yes, after the end of the episode, there is a short scene that shows Circe aka CC (Rosemarie DeWitt), on her island in the
Sea of Monsters. She brings out the statues of Annabeth and Percy as motivation for visitors to join her course.
