kickstarted their ARIRANG World Tour on April 9 at Goyang Stadium, Seoul. During day 2, BTS' parents were seen attending the concert, and one incident warmed ARMYs' hearts, and it was when Jungkook's mother was spotted interacting with fans, even giving out candies and other small items, and actress Ko So-Young was among the candy receivers. Days after the concert, So-Young shared the story on her YouTube channel, explaining that Jungkook's mother kindly offered the sweets from her pocket during the performance, mentioning it was a snack she frequently eats, while also revealing Jungkook's reaction.

Ko So-Young shared a video titled 'Ko So-young's wardrobe, human Chanel, revealed for the first time in 35 years since debut on her YouTube channel. In the vlog, she bragged that the candy she was picking up had been given to her by BTS
Jungkook’s mother. When the production team asked how she knew his mother, So-Young explained the whole interaction.
She said that she had gone to watch the performance and that Jungkook’s parents had been sitting right next to her. She added that they had been very nice people. Ko So-Young explained that Jungkook’s mother had greeted her and said that she wanted to give her something but didn’t have anything. Then she pulled some candy out of her pocket and offered it to her. She shared, "There were 3 pieces, but Yoon-Seul (So-Young's daughter) ate one, I ate one, and only the last one was left. I absolutely can't eat it."
Further, So-Young mentioned that after the performance ended, she had gone to greet Jungkook and told him that his mother had given her the candy. He had responded by acknowledging, "Ah that candy," She lastly added that it turned out his mom always carries this candy with her. Meanwhile, Jungkook was also seen distributing candies to ARMYs during the soundcheck, proving he truly takes after his mom.

World Tour ARIRANG is a landmark 2026 concert tour and the group’s fifth album project. Kicking off in April 2026 at Goyang Stadium in South Korea, the tour features a 2.5-hour setlist and is set for stops in Japan, the United States, and Europe. The group recently finished their 3-day sold out tour in Mexico City at Estadio GNP Seguros . The concerts attracted 150,000 fans inside and an additional estimated 70,000 outside, creating a historic sight.
Meanwhile, before their Mexico tour, BTS (RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook) met with Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum at the National Palace. Following their 40-minute meeting, the group appeared on the palace balcony to greet approximately more than 50,000 fans gathered at the Zócalo plaza.
