Mark Zuckerberg-owned social media giant Meta has announced new paid subscription plans for Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp. The new plans, called Facebook Plus, Instagram Plus and WhatsApp Plus, were announced by Meta head of product Naomi Gleit in a video posted on Instagram."Hey everyone, exciting news for how we're building value with our new subscriptions products. We're starting to roll out Facebook Plus, Instagram Plus and WhatsApp Plus, with enhanced features that our community already loves. These subscription plans offer richer ways to express and connect across our apps with more fun features to be added," she said. The company said these subscriptions will offer extra features, personalisation tools and premium experiences for users
across its apps. According to reports, Instagram+ and Facebook+ subscriptions will cost $3.99 ( around Rs 384.30) per month and WhatsApp+ will be priced $2.99 (Rs 287.96) per month. Meta is yet to announce the India pricing of new subscription plans for Instagram, WhatsApp and Facebook.Overall, these plans are expected to give users access to premium features including advanced analytics, profile customisation tools, wider audience reach and story rewatch statistics. The social media giant is mainly targeting creators, influencers and users who want more control and visibility on the platforms.
