(IPA) under the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, the event saw actress Kayadu Lohar in attendance.

The launch of the Indian Pickleball League has generated excitement among sports enthusiasts and celebrities. Recognised as India’s only national pickleball league, the initiative aims to popularise the sport across the country and build a strong community of players. At the Chennai event, actress Kayadu Lohar, known for her role in Dragon, shared her thoughts in an exclusive interaction with Zoom.Speaking about her personal experience with the game, Kayadu admitted that while she hasn’t played regularly, she has tried it a few times. “I do play, not regularly, but I have played like once and twice and I know it’s like a fun game,” she said. The actress expressed her desire to take up the sport more seriously despite her busy schedule. “I want to start playing, but my schedule doesn’t allow me to. But I think I will start playing more often now,” she added.
Kayadu wants Pickleball to reach Olympics
Kayadu also highlighted the larger impact of pickleball beyond just being a recreational activity. “I think, more than that, I know like pickleball is a sport which is also building community and it’s bringing a lot of people together and it’s also an exciting game,” she remarked.For her, the sense of togetherness and community spirit is what makes pickleball truly special. “So, more than that, I think building community is the most fun and exciting part. So, I am looking forward to that,” she said. Looking ahead, Kayadu expressed hope that the league’s vision will expand globally. “I hope that what the vision the league is having, it goes wider and hopefully we see it in Olympics and it takes a little more ahead,” she concluded.Watch the full interview here:
