Jitendra Kumar on why he chose role in Bhagwat Chapter One Raakshas
In the Zee5 film, Jitendra plays a character named Professor Sameer, who looks to be hiding a dangerous secret. The actor shared, "I wanted to do a film like Bhagwat for a long time. As an actor, I love exploring new territories — roles that feel unfamiliar or even uncomfortable. It doesn’t matter if a character is pleasant, intense, or grey; if it feels fresh, it excites me. Sometimes, it’s just one scene that makes you think, ‘I’ve never done something like this before,’ and that becomes the reason to say yes. Bhagwat gave me that feeling right from the first narration. It was raw, unpredictable, and unlike anything I’ve done so far."

Produced by Jyoti Deshpande, Pammi Baweja, Harman Baweja, Kanishk Gangwal, and Vipin Agnihotri, Bhagwat: Chapter One – Raakshas also features actors Devas Dikshit, Tara Alisha Berry, Hemant Saini, and Ayesha Kaduskar. The Times Now review of the film stated, "Jitendra Kumar, as Sameer, is the best performer in Bhagwat Chapter 1—Raakshas. The actor has gotten into the skin of the character and managed to outshine Arshad with his fantastic performance. Jitendra’s character is like a chameleon that swiftly changes its colour with situations."ALSO READ: Panchayat 4's Jitendra Kumar Shares Grounded Take On Stardom: What Doesn’t Work Stays With You...
