Sneak Peek Into Manish Malhotra's Star-Studded Party for Karan Johar's 54th Birthday

Johar, one of the biggest filmmakers from Bollywood, recently celebrated his 54th birthday on May 25. To celebrate it, at the most, his closest friend and fashion designer, Manish Malhotra, threw a star-studded house party at his residence in Mumbai to which he invited some of the biggest names from the industry. The party was intimate, with no coverage from the media or the paparazzi. However, fans got a sneak peek into the evening through Instagram stories posted by the guests and the host himself. From the group photos to reunion selfies, everything made the party a night to remember.

Guest list or Bollywood reunion?

Most of the guests at the party either posted or reposted inside pictures and videos from the party, which, when combined, painted a full picture of the night. Manish shared some exclusive selfies from the night, featuring Kajol, Rani Mukerji, Shanaya Kapoor, Sara Ali Khan, Vicky Kaushal, Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani. Meanwhile, the fashion director Anaita Shroff Adajania shared glimpses from the bash while tagging Manish, Karan and director Zoya Akhtar.With many others on the list was Karisma Kapoor, who reposted photographer Prashant Sood’s stories on her Instagram and was also tagged on a post by film journalist Jitesh Pillai, which also featured Rani Mukherjee, thanking Manish for the fabulous party. Kareena Kapoor Khan was also there along with Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor.

However, the most talked-about moment of the night was one of Manish’s selfies featuring the reunion of Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’s team, including two of the film’s lead ladies. The four of them worked together on the iconic 1998 film and were seen together nearly 28 years after the film.

A big birthday bash after an even bigger month

Earlier in the month of his birthday, Karan Johar made a major milestone after he became the first Indian Filmmmaker ever till now to walk the red carpet at the Met Gala 2026. He made his big debut on the red carpet in a stunning outfit designed by Manish. On his birthday, designer Manish Malhotra shared a heartfelt story while looking back on their 30 years of friendship.
