Vignesh Raja's recently released action entertainer Kara, featuring actor Dhanush in the lead, is making waves. In the film, Dhanush plays a robber who is desperate to make a certain sum of money in the film. The Censor Board had cleared the film for release with a U/A certificate and it was released worldwide on April 30 this year. Kara has opened to early morning shows across several regions, with initial audience responses beginning to surface online. Alongside Dhanush, the film features Mamitha Baiju, K. S. Ravikumar, Karunas, Jayaram, Prithvi Rajan, Suraj Venjaramoodu and Sreeja Ravi in supporting roles.

As is typical with major releases, viewers who attended the first
screenings took to X to share their immediate reactions. These posts, largely informal and based on first impressions, are now going viral all over.

It may be recalled that the makers of the film had announced the title of the film on
Pongal. The makers had also released a poster of the film in which Dhanush was seen sporting an intense look. The poster read, "Sometimes, staying dangerous is the only way to stay alive. "In the film, actress Mamitha Baiju plays the female lead, would be seen as Selli in the film, director K S Ravikumar would be seen as Kandhasaami in
Kara. Actor Jayaram plays Muthu Selvan while actor Karunas plays Kasi Maayan and actor Suraj Venjaramoodu plays Bharathan in the film. The film boasts of both a strong cast as well as a brilliant technical crew. Apart from Dhanush and Mamitha Baiju, the film will also feature

More About Kara
Kara is set in Ramanathapuram in 1991, unfolding over a period of 16 days. The story follows Karasaami, a man drawn back into aspects of his past he had attempted to leave behind. The narrative is placed against the backdrop of the geopolitical tensions between Iraq and the United States during that period, adding a broader context to the personal journey of the protagonist. As the character navigates mounting challenges, the plot explores the consequences of his choices and the responsibilities he carries toward those around him.On the technical front, cinematography will be by one of the best in the business, Theni Eswar and editing will be by Sreejith Sarang. Music will be by National Award winner G V Prakash.
