OpenAI Brings ChatGPT Health For Medical Support: Connect Health Records, Wellness Apps And More

OpenAI has introduced a new ChatGPT Health tab that will cater to all the health-related queries of the users. What's more is that all the users will be able to upload their medical records on the mode and connect it to wellness apps like MyFitnessPal and Apple Health. With this move, OpenAI is leveling up their game by making ChatGPT the go-to place for accessing health information, which is already one of the most common usage points for the chatbot.According to the official statement by OpenAI, over 230 million people use ChatGPT on a global level to ask wellness and health related questions. The latest ChatGPT Health mode can be used for tasks like understanding recent test results, getting advice on diet and workout routines, preparing

for doctor appointments, and evaluating tradeoffs between insurance options.OpenAI Said, 'To keep your health information protected and secure, (ChatGPT) Health operates as a separate ‍space with enhanced privacy to protect sensitive data. Conversations in Health are not used to train our ‍foundation models.' They further said, 'You can securely connect medical records and wellness apps to ground conversations in your own health information, so responses are more relevant and useful to you.'OpenAI has partnered with digital health platform b.well for health data connectivity infrastructure, letting the users safely connect their medical records for heavily personalised health AI interactions. The mode is all set to change a lot of things in favour of ChatGPT. However, things could again become a problem for OpenAI's chatbot if Google brings something like that. As for the release timeline, OpenAI has said that the mode will be making a global debut in the coming weeks, but a lot of features like medical record integration will be limited to the US in the beginning. Speculations are that we will not get to see the mode reaching the Indian market anytime before January last week or February 2026.
