The line has become a fan favourite and continues to generate buzz. But was it inspired by Bollywood star Sunny Deol’s on-screen persona and the titles of his iconic films Ghayal and Ghatak? Netizens think so. Now, the Border 2 actor has reacted to these fan theories. In a recent interview, he was jokingly asked if he was charging royalty for the line. Sunny paaji, as he’s fondly known, had a sweet response. Sunny Deol vs Dhurandhar This comes on the back of the massive success of Dhurandhar, which visibly impacted the box-office performance of Sunny Deol’s Border 2. The spiritual sequel to J P Dutta’s iconic war drama hit screens on January 23, ahead of Republic Day 2026. However, Aditya Dhar’s spy actioner continued to dominate ticket windows. Despite this, Border 2 held its ground held its groundbefore slowing down in the second week. It has reportedly earned Rs 318.55 crore so far. Had it not been for the Dhurandhar madness, the war drama may have had even greater potential.Meanwhile, Dhurandhar’s box-office collections reportedly crossed Rs 10,000 crore in India alone, making it one of the highest-grossing Indian films ever. A sequel is currently in the pipeline. It is slated to release in theatres on March 19, 2026.Sunny Deol's NextSunny will next be seen in Aamir Khan and Rajkumar Santoshi’s Lahore 1947. The period drama, which also stars Preity Zinta and Shabana Azmi, is eyeing an Independence Day release.The film is also expected to undergo a title change.
