is BTS's era, and the world is living in it! The K-pop legends have achieved an impossible feat. With ARIRANG and its title track SWIM, RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook are now the first group in history to debut a song and album at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and Billboard 200 simultaneously on multiple occasions. Their previous first clean sweep was Life Goes On, and the corresponding album BE. With their new album ARIRANG being on a record-smashing spree, there's currently no major platform left in the world where the boy band is not ruling the charts. Infact, BTS currently holds a Global All Kill on 9 rankings.
BTS breaks Billboard
On March 30, huge news came in after days of anticipation, that ARIRANG and SWIM have debuted on the Billboard Hot 100 straight at the top. As per the chart dated April 4, 2026, Billboard announced its top 10 rankings SWIM as the No. 1 song, and BTS as the No. 1 artist, stayed numero uno on both. With 9 out of 10 spots in the top 10 on Billboard Global 200, it now ties with Taylor Swift as the only artists to do so. The boys also extend their record for the group with the most No. 1 debuts on Billboard Hot 100 (7 in total). These include SWIM, Dynamite, Savage Love Remix, Life Goes On, My Universe, Butter, and Permission To Dance.

This is also the band's 6th Billboard All Kill, hitting No. 1 across all major Billboard charts. These include Billboard Hot 100, Billboard 200, Billboard Artist 100, Billboard Global 200, Billboard Global Excl. U.S., along with Digital Song Sales, World Digital Song Sales, Top Album Sales, and Vinyl Albums.SWIM is BTS's seventh Hot 100 chart topper, and their first since 2021, the year its seven members announced a hiatus due to their military services. Many are called "seven" as their "lucky number," as ARIRANG is also the septet's seventh No. 1 on the Billboard 200.

Band leader and rapper RM couldn't hold his happiness. He took to his Instagram stories and shared the two debuts on Billboard Hot 100 and Billboard 200. he wrote alongside a text, "Sendin my luv and gratitude."
ARMYs react
ARMYs have flooded X (formerly Twitter) with reactions. Many used their track from ARIRANG and played around it. A fan wrote, "They don’t know bout us, oh bts you’re so right." Another fan wrote, "That's how we do do do do do."A user reacted, "They are truly a global group and the biggest group in the world." An emotional ARMY posted, "When BTS announced their hiatus, the media swore they were done.When they came back, everyone said the comeback would flop. BTS came back, dropped the comeback, and obliterated the charts~ a global all-kill. Unstoppable. Untouchable." A second ARMY said, "We weren't lying when we said they were coming to make history."
About BTS comeback with ARIRANG
BTS released their fifth studio album ARIRANG on March 20, followed by a comeback concert at Gwanghwamun Square, Seoul, the following day. All 14 tracks of the album debuted on the Global Spotify Weekly Top Songs Chart with over 26.4 million streams each (at that time), making it the Top 14 biggest debuts for K-pop acts in 2026.BTS is now gearing up to embark on a massive world tour starting April 9 from Goyang, South Korea. It spans more than 82 dates in 34 cities across 23 countries, and will conclude in 2027. It is being touted as the biggest world tour by an artist in the history of world music.
