The announcement was made on the festive occasion of Pongal 2026, officially unveiling the project that was earlier referred to as D54. The visuals of the teaser that clearly gives away the film’s dark and intense tone. Kara is produced by Vels Film International and directed by Vignesh Raja, who earned widespread acclaim for his debut thriller Por Thozhil.
