Roi Roi Binale director on Zubeen's contribution to film's promotion
Roi Roi Binale Director Rajesh Bhuyan, revealed that Zubeen was personally involved in shaping the film’s promotion before leaving for Singapore. Speaking to ETV Bharat, Bhuyan said, “On September 15, before his departure, Zubeen and I discussed the plans for Roi Roi Binale. He wanted to promote this film differently from his earlier projects like Mission China and Kanchanjangha.”According to Rajesh Bhuyan, Zubeen had expressed a touching thought before leaving, saying, “People often come to me for autographs and to meet me, but it’s impossible to meet everyone. So, I want to do something that makes everyone feel my presence — I’ll leave behind my autograph and an invitation for them to watch my film.”

Many believe this posthumous release will become a landmark moment in Assamese cinema, celebrating Zubeen’s artistic legacy.Tragically, the artist’s vibrant life was cut short during a trip to Singapore, where he had travelled to perform at the North East India Festival. Reports state that Zubeen passed away while swimming near an island during a yacht outing.
