Bohra, who's been a part of popular TV shows, recently arrived with a micro-drama. Titled Deal Toh Pagal Hai, the show follows the story of Aviraj Goel, who fakes a relationship with Pia Bohra after he is pressured into an arranged marriage. Co-starring Khushi Dubey, Ishika Makhija, and Akash Girish Bathija, Deal Toh Pagal Hai premiered on the BULLET microdrama app on April 29. During its promotions, Zoom exclusively interviewed Karanvir Bohra. The actor opened up about his new offering and revealed why micro-dramas are here to stay. Read on to know what the actor shared.

Karanvir Bohra on Deal Toh Pagal Hai, micro-dramas

During an interaction with us, Karanvir was asked about the novelty factor of his newly released show, Deal Toh Pagal Hai. The actor recalled meeting a person from Zee who told him that they wanted something new and different that would resonate with everybody. That's when the actor and his team went back to drawing board thinking about what they should do since everyone is making remakes of Chinese dramas.

"We're doing that because that works. But originally, the future of micro drama is huge. Big players are coming in. Zee is already there, and there is Amazon and Jio. There's Yashraj coming. Big players are coming and it's here to stay. So if it's here to stay, then how about we run out of these Chinese stories or these millionaire dramas? You want original stories. This is where it all started," he said.The actor further told that his show had to be original, and for that they thought of tropes they could include in the story. "Family drama works the best. There is humiliation, love, passion, romance and comedy. We have touched upon an important aspect of the generation gap. How the millennial fathers or parents are different from Gen Z children," added Karanvir.

For the unversed, Karanvir hasn't just acted in the series, but he has also co-directed and produced it. Madhavi Bhojwani serves as Karanvir's co-director on the show.
