With nearly a decade of work behind him, Stranger Things director Shawn Levy is getting emotional about the show's end. The filmmaker has promised to share stills and behind-the-scenes pictures from the Netflix
series all month. His latest photos took fans all the way back to the first season with images of the core gang, including Finn Wolfhard, Millie Bobby Brown, Gaten Matarazzo, and Caleb McLaughlin on the sets. Check out Levy's walk down memory lane.
Shawn Levy gets nostalgic with BTS pics from Stranger Things Season 1
On November 1st, Levy had posted on social media, "It’s been the adventure of a lifetime. BTS pics each day, every day, till the very end. A personal look back at these years that turned all our worlds upside down." The first round of photos showed pictures of The Party, the main gang made up of Mike Wheeler (Finn Wolfhard), Will Byers (Noah Schnapp), Lucas Sinclair (Caleb McLaughlin), and Dustin Henderson (Gaten Matarazzo). The Deadpool & Wolverine filmmaker also shared a photo with the co-creators Ross and Matt Duffer.

He wrote, "Early days in Hawkins." These new pictures also included Millie Bobby Brown's Eleven, joining the gang after Will's disappearance. There's a poignant picture of Levy directing Brown for a key scene in Season 1. The final picture is the full Wheeler family, including Nancy Wheeler (Natalia Dyer) and young Holly, the youngest sibling. Nell Fisher has been recast in the role of Holly for the final season, as the character has a much larger role to play in the story.
The fifth season of Stranger Things is being split into three parts. The first four episodes make up Vol. 1, which will be released on November 26. Vol. 2 will consist of the next three episodes and be out on Christmas Day, December 25, and finally the series finale, aka Vol. 3, will be released on December 31, New Year's Eve.
