He also admitted that he never found anyone more beautiful than late actress Smita Patil.

Speaking to us, Nawazuddin admitted that he did face racism, but the industry still accepted him. The actor further spoke about selectivity in racism. "But as they say, when you kill a cockroach, people say it's good that you killed it. But when you kill a butterfly, people say, why did you kill it? So, things are very selective. Just like there is a lot of selectivity in racism. It is there. It is there in many places. In the sense that I expect that you don't decide what beauty is, let people decide," he said in Hindi.

Explaining his point further, Nawazuddin mentioned that a female actress who is 'sawli', is considered average-looking here. However, when she goes to the West, she becomes exotic. "People have their perspective. But don't use that in the system. If she is like this, she can't be the lead. But it's not their fault because the stories are written like that. A girl who is fair, stories are written about her. You get a brief. A lot of people are struggling with it."The actor also mentioned, "There are a lot of things. The beauty of the camera is different. I think I have never found anyone more beautiful than Smita Patil. The beauty of the camera is different. We need to capture that. The camera doesn't judge."
