Aaditi said that the initial narration itself convinced her that
Ziddi Ishq would allow her to explore a different creative space. She explained that the combination of innocence, growth, and emotional complexity made Mehul a compelling role. She told Zoom, “When I got a call from Raj sir, the idea of playing a schoolgirl and then taking the character forward, the way the script progresses, was already very interesting. I knew the script had a journey and I was actually looking forward to doing something lighter - something where I could explore humorous or softer moments, because my last two projects were quite intense.”She further added that the tonal balance of the story was one of its strongest appeals, giving her room to explore both vulnerability and simplicity.
“I wanted to change gears, and this script had the right balance. I was genuinely excited to explore it. During the shoot, there were several new revelations about who Mehul is and how she navigates her journey. I understood the character arc at a broad level, but playing and living it is a different experience - that is the real joy for an actor," said Aaditi. Aaditi also spoke about how Mehul felt like an unfolding puzzle, making the role more enriching each day on set. The actress added, “For me, it was like a beautiful mystery. I kept wondering, ‘What happens next with Mehul?’ Every day, I discovered new shades and layers. I wanted to keep her simple yet unique, and that exploration made the process truly exciting.”
