That moment finally arrived on April 2, on the occasion of Hanuman Jayanti, when Namit Malhotra unveiled the much-awaited Ramayana teaser. At the launch event, Nitesh got candid about how he had been waiting for the world to see the first glimpse of the mega project. Before Ramayana, Nitesh has directed movies such as Bawaal, Chhichhore, Dangal, Bhoothnath Returns, and Chillar Party.

Talking about the making of Ramayana, Nitesh Tiwari shared that it took him seven years to reach this moment. He said that every moment of those seven years, he had imagined what this moment would feel like and what the reaction would be when the film finally came out.Seeing the audience's reaction, he added that it made him feel it was all worth it. He also acknowledged the enormous effort put in by everyone involved and expressed hope that the film would receive the same amount of love from audiences everywhere.
The Dangal director said, "Seeing your reaction, I feel it was worth all these seven years. A lot of people have put in a lot of effort to get here, and I hope we receive the same amount of love from all of you."
Ramayana Cast And Release Date
Ramayana is produced by Namit Malhotra's Prime Focus Studios, in association with eight-time Oscar-winning DNEG and Yash's Monster Mind Creations.The film brings together a powerful cast, Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Yash as Ravana, Sunny Deol as Hanuman, and Ravi Dubey as Lakshman. The music has been composed by Hans Zimmer and AR Rahman, a pairing that has fans buzzing with excitement on its own.Ranbir had initially turned down the role, but it was his daughter Raha who changed his mind. Talking about his approach to playing Lord Rama, Ranbir said he was not there to represent the God but to learn from him. He described Lord Rama as a figure of rare simplicity and purity, adding that trying to understand and imbibe those qualities had been a deeply humbling experience for him.Ramayana is planned as a two-part worldwide IMAX release, with Part 1 arriving during Diwali 2026 and Part 2 during Diwali 2027.
