During an exclusive interaction with Zoom/Telly Talk India, Sonakshi stated that she is missing the Makar Sankranti celebration in her hometown. Currently, she is in Mumbai for work. Hence, she got nostalgic while speaking about her Makar Sankranti celebration. Today, on the occasion of Makar Sankranti (January 14), the Jagadhatri actress mentioned that the essence between both the cities remains the same. Moreover, Sonakshi also recalled how she would eat til-gud sweets, battle colourful kites and shout ‘Kai Po Che’ on the terrace of her house in Delhi.

During a candid chat with us, Sonakshi Batra was asked about her Makar Sankranti celebration plans. She also revealed how she would celebrate the festival at her home in Delhi.
Sonakshi Batra stated, “Makar Sankranti takes me back to my childhood in Delhi, terraces alive with shared laughter of family and friends, people battling colourful kites against a winter-blue sky, people shouting ‘Kai Po Che!’ In triumph and plates filled with homemade til-gud sweets. Today, living in Mumbai, the essence remains the same. The festival is a quiet reminder of togetherness, gratitude, and the beauty of new beginnings, to turn towards light, hope, and positivity. This Makar Sankranti I wish all my viewers happiness, peace, good health and dreams that soar high.”
