Kapil Sharma is returning to the big screen with Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2 on December 12. Directed by Anukalp Goswami, the film revolves around Sharma’s character and his multiple wives who practice different

religions. Ayesha Khan features in the sequel as a Muslim woman. Ahead of Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2’s release, Anukalp spoke to Zoom exclusively and revealed that Ayesha’s casting for the film wasn’t determined by her social media followers and Bigg Boss’ popularity.

Ayesha, who became an overnight sensation after participating in Bigg Boss 17, has signed a variety of interesting projects post the reality show. Clarifying that her casting in Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2 wasn’t influenced by that factor, Goswami told us, “Humne joh characters soche the, ek Hindu ladki, ek Muslim, ek Christian aur ek Sikh. Hum yeh sochke aage gaye ki ladki mein voh character dikhna chahiye. Ladki apne peeche Bigg Boss leke aayi hai ya itne followers hai, aisa kabhi socha nahi.
