Ramayana
is one of the most-awaited releases of this year. Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, the mythological epic has been made on a grand scale. It features Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram and Yash as Ravana. A few days ago, the KGF 2 star attended CinemaCon with Ramayana co-producer Namit Malhotra. He was there to promote the mythological epic and Toxic - A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups. During a media interview, Yash got candid about his two projects. While discussing Ramayana, the actor revealed how he sees demon king Ravana. Does he view him as a complex character or an evil one? Here's what the actor had to share.
Ramayana actor Yash talks about Ravana
In an interview with Collider, Yash was asked about his perspective about Ravana. Sharing his opinion, the Ramayana actor stated that he doesn't look at anything in black and white. He admitted that he tries to see bad quality in a good person, to understand what's wrong in them although they're good. And Yash does that because he is an actor and wants to understand human emotions in a deeper way if he has to project a character.
When he views Ravana, Yash does see him do many bad things, but the actor also tries to see what good qualities the demon king had. He believes that's the way India has seen it. According to him, there are certain things which people appreciated about Ravana, even though he was hated. "So that's a very interesting aspect. Of course, I don't accept or see whatever he did as good, but there are very many good qualities. So, I see it both ways," shared Yash.
