The 2007 blockbuster Welcome returns with its third instalment, titled Welcome To The Jungle. The film will complete the franchise trilogy, following the 2015 release of Welcome Back. Known for its star-studded cast and iconic comic timing, the film is expected to bring back a wave of nostalgia for fans. With earlier reports suggesting the dates, Akshay Kumar has hinted at the forthcoming release with a first look reveal on his social media.

First Look At Akshay’s Starrer

Directed by Ahmed Khan, Welcome To The Jungle is set to hit theatres on June 26. Akshay Kumar has once again created buzz online, unveiling the first look of his upcoming film on Instagram. The glimpse shows him in his signature walk style on a red carpet set against a jungle backdrop. The caption for his post was simple yet effective, and has gained excitement among fans. It read, “Next… #WelcomeToTheJungle”.

In November last year, the actor dropped a catchy video with co-actor Disha Patani from the shooting days. In the viral clip, the actors were seen grooving to the new version of the song Uncha Lamba Kad. The caption reminisced about the 18 years since the first release. “With so much nostalgia, beautiful Disha & I bring you Welcome to the Jungle...”, he announced to fans. He also credited Katrina Kaif as ‘Our Queen’, as she brought her elegant magic to the screens with Welcome.

Nostalgia Hit For Audiences

According to Pinkvilla’s exclusive source, the film has recreated not one but two songs from the first film, Welcome. The main idea behind this was to bring nostalgia and fun for the audience. The songs are twisted with modern touches while maintaining the original score, making it unique. Uncha Lamba Kad, as revealed by Akshay himself and Welcome’s title track will be featured in sequel.

Director Ahmed Khan is all set to bring an ensemble cast of over 20 actors to the big screen. Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, Jackie Shroff, Raveena Tandon, Disha Patani, Jacqueline Fernandez, Arshad Warsi, Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav and Johnny Lever will be joined by several other notable actors from the industry.
