Kumar has done his duty as an Indian citizen by casting his valuable vote for the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) polls 2026 this morning. The Khiladi Kumar went to Gandhi Shikshan Bhavan in Juhu to cast his vote on January 15. After casting his vote, Akshay Kumar interacted with the media and asked all the Mumbaikars to come and vote. Akshay mentioned that people should become a real hero of Mumbai if they want things to get better in the city. He asked them to cast their votes wisely. Akshay also asked people to elect the right person to get a better life in the city.
Akshay Kumar casts vote for BMC Elections 2026
While interacting with PTI, Akshay Kumar said, “Today is the BMC election, and, as Mumbaikars, this is the day when we have the remote control. Therefore, all the people of Mumbai must come out and vote, rather than complaining later about things not being in good shape. Everyone should vote to elect the right people. If you want to be the real hero of Mumbai, then instead of dialogues, you should come and vote.”
It has to be noted that Akshay Kumar is one of the first Bollywood actors who cast his vote for BMC Elections 2026 today. Apart from him, Sanya Malhotra also cast her vote for the civic elections in Mumbai.
About BMC Polls 2026
The voting for the civic body of Mumbai is being held today (January 15). The results of the same will be declared tomorrow (January 16). Apart from commoners, several Bollywood celebrities such as Vivek Oberoi, Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Ajay Devgn, Kajol, Madhuri Dixit and others are expected to come to the polling booths to cast their votes.
