Palak Tiwari On Lukkhe, Anxiety
In an exclusive chat with
Zoom, she said, "For me personally, it is more than challenging. I took it very personally because I felt responsible as I was representing a section of women. I didn't want to do wrong by that. Also, it made me realise that these things are a lot more common than we give them credit for, because almost every third person I met had their own experience with it. That's why I tried to speak to people as much as possible to make sure I don’t come across wrong or just don’t present them incorrectly."Talking about her character's mental health issues, she added, "Even about the anxiety that she faces, that's such a huge part of her character because I think every time she gets overwhelmed, she gets anxious. That's just not who I am as a person; that’s not something that I experience. So, it was very pertinent to me in that moment to make sure that that comes across in a genuine manner."
Palak Tiwari Is 'Non-Judgemental'
She then lauded her co-star Lakshvir, saying that he's a very "stabilising person" who made her feel comfortable. He gives an actor the space to be their character, added Palak and shared that he let her express herself freely.Lakshvir, who was also a part of the same interview, shared that, in his experience, presence itself is very healing and that one does not always need advice during vulnerable moments. Simply having someone by your side can be calming, he feels. He said that he tried to bring this approach into his performance and conversations with Palak helped him stay focused during scenes. He described her as a non-judgmental and clear-headed person whose energy made others feel comfortable. He said that their contrasting personalities complemented each other and eventually led to a strong friendship. The show will stream on
Amazon Prime Video.
