Sivakarthikeyan, is all set to be seen in director Sudha Kongara's Parasakthi, which is slated to release in theatres on 10 January, coinciding with the festival of Pongal. Ahead of the film hitting screens,
the makers hosted an audio launch, where Sivakarthikeyan opened up about his first collaboration with Sudha Kongara. He recalled the time the filmmaker would give him brief about how to perform for a scene, and get disappointed with after he could not meet expectations. In his trademark style of humour, the actor went on to say that he had difficulty understanding her English as he felt it was like 'Shakespeare English'. He then went on to reveal that he had to take the help of AI to fully decipher what she was saying.
Why Did Sivakarthikeyan Relying On Chat GPT While Working On Parasakthi?
Talking at the audio launch, Sivakarthikeyan spoke in a light-hearted manner "Only when I started working on the film did I know that Ma'am (Sudha Kongara), would talk only in Shakespearean English, so when she would prompt something, I didn't understand. I had to rely on Chat GPT. After two days of shoot, she felt disturbed, and she asked me what the problem was and why I wasn't performing as per her brief. It is then that I revealed that I didn't understand her English as much as she expected me to." Soon after, everyone including Sudha Kongara erupted in laughter.
Talking about the film's clash
with Jana Nayagan, he said “We first thought of releasing Parasakthi during Diwali 2025 but by then the Jana Nayagan team had already fixed that date. So we dropped the idea and continued working on our film with Pongal in mind. Later when the Jana Nayagan team also shifted their release to Pongal I was really shocked.”
Sivakarthikeyan plays a man who is against the 1960s Anti-Hindi Imposition movement in Tamil Nadu. Parasakthi also stars Atharvaa Murali, Ravi Mohan and Sreeleela in lead roles. Apart from The film also stars Prakash Belawadi.
Sudha Kongara has written the screenplay along with Arjun Nadesan, based on a concept by Mathimaran Pugazhendhi. Ganeshaa is credited for additional screenplay, and Madhan Karky and Shan Karuppusamy are credited for additional dialogues. On the technical front, it has music by
GV Prakash (his 100th film as a composer), cinematography by Ravi K Chandran, editor Sathish Suriya, and stunts by Supreme Sundar. Produced by Aakash Baskaran of Dawn Pictures, the film is slated for a January 10 release in theatres.
