As per reports, they have legally divorced, with proceedings finalised in early 2026 at Mumbai's Bandra Family Court. Hansika has given up all alimony and dower in the hope of a complete separation. However, she is going through a legal battle with her estranged sister-in-law. Although the actress prefers to keep her personal life private, she has finally addressed the divorce and confirmed that she has no regrets. She also revealed that she was going through a difficult time, and she is happy that, to this day, no one knows what went wrong.

During a recent interview with Hauterrfly,
Hansika Motwani addressed her divorce with businessman Sohael Khaturiya. She said that people wanted clickbait headlines and they got it. "I have never clarified it, nor will I, because it doesn't matter to me. It's fine. I have no regrets. It's better to get off the train if you got onto the wrong train than suffer. I have immense support from my family. I have no regrets. I am very happy where I am,” she said.
Hansika Motwani On Idea Of Love
Sharing her idea of love, Hansika said that love is beautiful, and currently she does not know when the time is right and believes that the universe will guide her. She further added that marriage means companionship, stability, and growth for her.Hansika revealed how her mother and brother supported her during difficult times. She said, "Both my mother and my brother were like, ‘If you are not comfortable, don’t go through it.’ And they have seen me in a very dark space—a very dark space. I am a very happy, jolly person. For me to go into a dark space, it was kind of alarming."
Hansika said that they had told her that whatever she decided was fine. She added that, even till today, no one knows what happened between the two of them, and she believes that it is for the best. She also said that only they know what happens between the two people, and no third party has anything to say or comment on it.

Hansika and Sohael tied the knot in a lavish ceremony in December 2022. They dated for several years. Their divorce was granted in March 2026, but the actress did not demand any alimony. But after the separation, when Hansika's sister-in-law Muskaan Nancy James accused her and her brother of domestic violence and harassment, the actress approached a sessions court in Mumbai demanding Rs 2 crore compensation and a public apology, calling the allegations false and defamatory.
