For the unversed, Malavika Mohanan and Vijay worked together in the
2021 film Master. Malavika Mohanan played the role of Charulatha "Charu" Prasad, a college teacher. In a previous interaction on X, Malavika Mohanan revealed that Vijay calls her 'Malu', she also said that no matter who she works with Vijay will always be special to her. Malavika Mohanan responded to a fan asking about Thalapathy Vijay and said, "I think I’ve said so much about him by now that everyone knows he’s my favourite. But here, saying again in case anybody’s forgotten - he always will be very special to me & will always always be my favourite no matter where I am or who I am working with."
