In the constant struggle to come up with the next mega-budget big screen spectacle, filmmakers have stopped exploring romantic comedies the way they did 10 years back. And that is exactly why Shahid Kapoor, Kriti Sanon, and Rashmika Mandanna headlined Cocktail 2 looks and feels so fresh. Since the first song of the Homi Adajania directorial had a threatrical premiere with Dhurandhar 2, it has already been watched by most people. For those who didn't or those who wish to play it on repeat, the song, titled Jab Talak, has released online.

After teasing fans with multiple stills of their respective characters in Cocktail 2, Shahid Kapoor, Kriti Sanon, and Rashmika Mandanna on Wednesday, April 8, finally unveiled Jab Talak. While the song appears catchy in the first listen, it is the chemistry between the three leads that which is the biggest highlight.

Everyone was eager to see how Shahid, Kriti, and Rashmika would look together and whether they will be able to recreate the magic of OG Cocktail and the OG star cast - Saif Ali Khan, Deepika Padukone, and Diana Penty. Cocktail 2 marks the second collaboration between Shahid and Kriti after the 2024 hit Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Diya. Their chemistry was loved and appreciated by all and thus, fans are now eager to see them together again. Shahid and Rashmika are coming together for the first time and it is going to be exciting. It is also for the first time that Kriti and Rashmika will be seen together in a film.

Cocktail 2 Release Date

Cocktail 2 is produced by Dinesh Vijan's Maddock Films and is directed by Homi Adajania, who also hemled the first instalment. The film is scheduled to release worldwide on June 19. This is Shahid's second release of 2026 after O Romeo, which fared moderately at the box office.Now that the first looks of the three leads and a song it out, all eyes will be on the trailer, which would give a clear idea about the potential of the sequel. The first Cocktail was a major box office success.
