Chawla, who is currently seen playing the lead role in Lakshmi Niwas, has recently opened up about his wife and revealed how similar she is to the character Lakshmi, played by Manasi Joshi Roy. In an exclusive interaction with Zoom/Telly Talk India, the senior TV actor heaped praise on his real-life partner and stated that it would have been difficult for him if she were not there in his life. Apart from that, Rajendra Chawla also confessed that he wants to play a fully negative character. He also wants to break his image as an actor in the industry.

Rajendra Chawla Is All Praise For Wife

During a candid chat with us, we asked Rajendra Chawla about the similarity between his wife and on-screen character Lakshmi from Lakshmi Niwas. Rajendra said, “My wife is very much similar to Lakshmi. She always gives priority to her loved ones and home and forgets about herself. When you get such a life partner, you feel blessed. Mere partner ne mujhe nihaal kiya hua hai.”

While speaking about her multitasking skills, Rajendra Chawla said, “She is a multitasker. I don't have to worry about my house. She is a lawyer. I still wonder how she manages multiple things so smoothly. I feel blessed to have such an amazing life partner. It would have been very difficult for me if she were not there in my life.”

Rajendra Chawla’s Wish To Play Negative Character

Actors often get typecast in the industry on the basis of the roles they do in their careers. Rajendra Chawla has played positive characters in several TV shows such as Saas Bina Sasural, Sargam Ki Sadhe Satii, Bahu Hamari Rajni Kant. When asked about the same, Rajendra confessed that he wants to play a negative character. Rajendra Chawla said, “I want to play a negative role. It's my wish to portray a fully negative character on the screen. I just want to break my image that has been built due to the characters I played in the past. I want to do a negative shade on the screen just to break that image of mine.” “The word 'typecast' is very new. If you see the history, there are so many actors who did the same kinds of roles for many years. They are being cast for such kinds of roles only, and the makers don't see them beyond that image.
