Taapsee Pannu on discovering her true calling
During an interview with the Hindustan Times, Taapsee Pannu opened up about discovering her true calling after witnessing a streak of flops and heartbreaks. For the unversed, Taapsee Pannu was last seen in Khel Khel Mein, which starred Akshay Kumar, Vaani Kapoor, Fardeen Khan, Aditya Seal, Pragya Jaiswal and Ammy Virk in key roles.
Taapsee Pannu said, “It required a streak of flops and heartbreaks for me to eventually find my calling. I realise I do best in films where my heart and mind are totally aligned to what I’m projecting and that project has a far bigger connection with the audience. So now I only listen to my instinct and my gut. I probably don’t choose the projects which will push the envelope of the bank account but the envelope of my artistic capability to carve a new path which isn’t walked too often.” The actress also revealed that she picked some obvious projects and roles that eventually didn’t work well at the box office. However, some of the unconventional choices made by Taapsee worked in her favour. Since then, she relies on her gut feeling without bothering about the conventional formula. She confessed that she has made her own algorithm. Taapsee Pannu will next be seen in several projects, such as Woh Ladki Hai Kahaan?, Gandhari and many others.
