Krithi Shetty Opens Up About Hindi Film Debut
In a recent interaction with the Hindustan Times, the actor stated that she has been approached for Hindi films, but opened up that no paperwork has been signed yet. The actress who appeared in a brief role in
Super 30, said “I have had a few offers, but sometimes the dates didn’t align. Also, the Hindi film industry functions very differently. They usually plan and shoot schedules in one stretch, whereas in the South, it’s more staggered. Because of that, things didn’t work out, or the projects didn’t feel right as my first Hindi film at that point.”
The actress expressed interest in being part of the Hindi film industry. "Since I'm born and brought up in Mumbai, I always felt like Hindi would be amazing for me to work in because I grew up speaking Hindi, unlike Tamil, Telugu in Malayalam, which I had to learn. When I went to my acting workshops, all the dialogues were in Hindi, so it was so much easier and quicker, and there was something very different and fresh about it. That's process really makes me feel excited about working in Hindi as I know the language and I won't have to learn it. I know what the words actually mean. Hopefully it will all happen soon," she says.
On the work front, Krithi Shetty was originally set to have three releases in December 2025, but they didn't hit theatres. She currently has
Karthi’s Vaa Vaathiyaar, Pradeep Ranganathan’s LIK and Ravi Mohan’s Genie lined up.
