A major shakeup has happened at LinkedIn right after Apple CEO Tim Cook left Apple. LinkedIn CEO Ryan Roslansky has setpped down from his position as CEO at LinkedIn. Dan Shapero, who was serving as the COO at LinkedIn, will be taking charge as the new Chief Executive Officer of the company. He joined the job-search platform as a general manager in 2008 after serving as a project consultant at Bain and Company. Shapero said in a LinkedIn post, 'Today, I’m taking on the role as CEO of LinkedIn. I joined LinkedIn in May 2008 as employee 300ish, and it’s easy to say that my time at the company has been one of the most meaningful experiences of my life.'On the other hand, Ex-LinkedIn CEO Ryan Roslansky said, 'Dan has led sales, marketing, and product

For those unaware, Roslansky was the first hire of Jeff Weiner at LinkedIn. Under the leadership of Ryan, the company has garnered more than 1.3 billion members and around 17 billion dollars in annual revenue. As for Roslansky's future, he is going to retain his position as the executive Vice President at Microsoft and new LinkedIn CEO Dan Shapero will be reporting directly to him. Shapero also wrote, 'The power of economic opportunity and the promise of LinkedIn has never been more important than it is today as the world is transformed by AI and professionals everywhere must transition along with it.'
