He mentioned that Yuvraj Mehta’s death was not a sudden one as he kept asking for help for 2 hours. Sourabh Raaj Jain wrote, "Incident that took place in Noida, where a young engineer, drowned after asking for help for almost 2 hours is terribly shocking. Is this the price we have to pay as citizens, no one from authority that runs on tax money could take timely action, it was not a sudden accident, for almost 2 hours he asked for help. Is there no responsibility of the authorities, SHAME.” (sic)Abhinav Shukla’s reaction to Noida incident
Apart from him, actor Abhinav Shukla has also criticised NDRF for not saving the software engineer. He dropped a video of himself on X and wrote, “Shame NDRF, Shame Fire Dept, Shame on authorities , you couldn’t save a young kid! I wonder why your departments even exist if you could not do a basic job for which you train your entire life with tax payers money! Bravo that Flip-cart Delivery guy who tried.” In the video, Abhinav Shukla is heard saying, “In the tragic case of Yuvraj Mehta, a young boy’s car plunged into the water-filled pit after colliding with a construction site wall. Following the accident, he immediately alerted the fire department, the police, and the NDRF. While all these agencies arrived at the scene with cranes and ropes, not a single professional rescuer entered the water to save him. For two agonising hours, the boy stood atop his submerged car, shouting for help and struggling to survive.”Shame NDRF , Shame Fire Dept , Shame on authorities , you couldn’t save a young kid !
