In an interview with Hindustan Times, Aamir discussed his close friendships with his ex-wives and the harmony within his blended family. He said, "I guess it shows we are good people. Reena is an amazing person. She’s someone I’ve grown up with. We spent 16 years together, and just because we fell apart as husband and wife doesn’t mean we fell apart as human beings. There’s a lot of love and respect in my heart for her. I truly value the time I spent with her. We were both very young when we married, and she’s a fantastic person. So when we had our differences and parted ways, we didn’t part as human beings. On his relationship with Kiran, Aamir shared, "Kiran is an amazing person, and although we decided to part ways as husband and wife, we are still family. I’m not kidding when I say that. We really are family. Kiran, her parents, my family, Reena, her parents, we’re all one family."When asked if he ever thought he would find love again at the age of 60, Aamir admitted, "No, I didn’t. To be honest, I had reached a point where I thought I might never find someone who could be my partner. I wasn’t expecting it."

Speaking about his new relationship with Gauri Spratt, Aamir laughed and said, “She brings a lot of calm and steadiness. She’s an amazing person, and I feel fortunate to have met her. These three people have contributed to me as a person in a very big way, and I really look up to them in many ways."
