The actor, who is enjoying the success of his recently released Prime Video show, Matka King, was seen at a popular restaurant in Mumbai on Tuesday evening. Amid constant speculation around his personal dating life, Varma sparked a relationship rumour with a ‘mystery girl’. They were spotted by the paparazzi while exiting the restaurant. Vijay has not spoken about his current relationship status after his rumoured breakup with Tamannaah Bhatia. The woman he was seen with is a known actress.

Vijay spent his Tuesday evening with actress Aaliyah Qureishi. The internet was quick to assume that they were dating before any official confirmation from the actors. Viral videos and pictures from the paparazzi spotting put the spotlight on the actress. Aaliyah has been working in the entertainment industry for years now.

Who is Aaliyah Qureishi?

Aaliyah, popular as ‘Jhalli’ on Instagram, is a singer, songwriter and actress, who has worked in various films and OTT shows. While working on her singles and music commitments, she made her Bollywood debut with Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan, directed by Atlee. Aaliyah was one of SSP Azad’s gang members. She played the role of Janvi in the action thriller. In the following year, Aaliyah joined the cast of Bandish Bandits in its second season. She was signed for the pivotal role of Ananya, who completes the Rathod gharana’s team in the India Band Championship. Qureishi was seen as Sahira in Khushi Kapoor and Ibrahim Ali Khan’s Nadaaniyan.

Aaliyah Qureishi on working with Shah Rukh Khan

Talking to Zoom exclusively in a previous interview, Aaliyah spoke about working with Shah Rukh in Jawan. The actress said she made the best friends from the industry and had some experiences of a lifetime, including working with the ‘great’ Shah Rukh Khan. She shared, “I’ll always remember sitting with him around the monitors and asking him questions about everything from acting to life philosophies and soaking in his wisdom and humour.” She further revealed that they played pool and danced to Chaiyya Chaiyya at Atlee's birthday party.

Vijay Varma and Tamannaah Bhatia's breakup

Vijay and Tamannah broke up in 2025 after dating for almost two years. Amid rumours of a breakup, the Matka King actor compared relationships to ice cream in a previous interview.

Tamannaah and Vijay shared the screen space in Lust Stories 2 in 2023. They were the lead pair in Sujoy Ghosh’s short film.
