ChatGPT, OpenAI's popular artificial intelligence platform, was experiencing issues on Tuesday for a second day in row. According to Down Detector, a platform that tracks outages based on users' data,
more than 12,580 users in the United States were reporting issues with ChatGPT. 93% of the reports in the United States concerned ChatGPT only - other OpenAI services seemed to be functional. Users reported lag issues, timeouts, and the app crashing. Despite user reports, OpenAI's status page did not display any problems during Monday or Tuesday's outages.Multiple users have complained that they have been logged out of their accounts and were not able to access their chats. Many users also reported an error message reading: "Unusual activity has been detected from your device. Try again later." Reports of the AI platform's outage come at a time when OpenAI CEO Sam Altman had declared a "code red" to improve the platform.
