Santokh Singh takes a stand for son Shehbaz Badesha
Speaking exclusively to us, Santokh Singh said, "
Agar behen ke naam pe aaya hai, toh aaya hai. Usme koi shaq nahi hai! Agar main aapke saath baith kar interview de raha hu, main Shehnaaz aur Shehbaz ke wajah se aaya hu. Mere bacche hai. Aur vo uski behen hai aur vo uska bhai hai. Dono ek dusre ke liye jaan dete hai."

Shehbaz's father further added, "
Agar humara koi behen aur bhai celebrity hai ya officer hai, toh hum bhi uska naam use karte hai na. Toh vo (Shehnaaz-Shehbaz) toh real behen-bhai hai. Aaya hai Shehnaaz ke dam pe. Lekin ab jo kar raha hai, vo apne dam pe kar raha hai."

Loose translation: If he has come in the name of his sister, then he has come. There is no doubt about that! If I am sitting with you and giving an interview, I have come because of Shehnaaz and Shehbaz. They are my children. And she is his sister and he is his brother. Both would give their lives for each other. If any of our sisters and brothers is a celebrity or is an officer, then we also use their name. They are real brother and sister. He has come in the name of Shehnaaz. But whatever he is doing now, he is doing it on his own.)
