South Indian stars, including Suriya, Dhanush, Karthi and Sivakarthikeyan, were recently honoured by the Tamil Nadu government, receiving the State Film Awards for the years 2016–2022. The ceremony took place on Friday, February 13, at Kalaivanar Arangam in Chennai, with several legendary artists from the industry in attendance, warmly showcasing their friendship as they sat together during the event. Films like Maanagaram, Aram, Pariyerum Perumal and Asuran bagged the award for Best Films from the period spanning the seven years.
Suriya, Dhanush Karthi, SK clicked in one frame
At the recently held Tamil Nadu State Awards for the films released during 2016-2022 and television awards for nine years from 2014 to 2022, veteran actors including Suriya, Dhanush, Karthi and SK were captured sitting together in a row, creating a moment for the night. Music composer A.R. Rahman and actress Sai Pallavi were also featured in the clip that saw the artists greeting each other with smile, instantly delighting their fans and followers as they called it the perfect example of 'Bromance'. Held yesterday (Friday) in Chennai, the evening was seen crediting the acclaimed artists from round the industry taking home prestigious awards. Take a look below:

From Vijay Sethupathi being awarded for Puriyatha Puthir (2017), Keerthy Suresh for Paambhu Sattai (2017), Karthi for Theeran Adhigaram Ondru (2017), Nayanthara for Aram (2017), Dhanush for Vada Chennai (2018), Jyothika for Chekka Chivantha Vaanam (2018), R. Parthiban for Oththa Seruppu Size 7 (2019), Manju Warrier for Asuran (2019), co-stars Suriya and Aparna Balamurali for Soorarai Pottru (2020), Arya for Sarpatta Parambarai (2021), Lijomol Jose for Jai Bhim (2021), Vikram Prabhu for Taanakkaran (2022), Sai Pallavi for Gargi (2022) and many more have bagged the Best Actors awards for the years 2016-2022.
Best Films Award
Along with this, Maanagaram, Aram, Pariyerum Perumal, Asuran, Koozhangal, Jai Bhim and Gargi were chosen as Best Films. First Prize is accompanied by a cash award of Rs 2 lakh. Films receiving the Second Prize are awarded Rs 1 lakh, while the Third Prize carries a cash prize of Rs 75,000.
