In an interview with Hautterfly, Shagun was asked about her relationship rumours with Aman. To which, the actress said, "Rumours thodi hai, sach hai woh toh." The Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2 actress accepted that she is dating Aman in real life. In fact, they have been in a relationship before the show began."Humlog (she and Aman) show pe nahi date karna shuru kiye, show se pehle date kar rahe hain," she revealed. The actress further recalled how she and Aman were called to cast in Ektaa Kapoor's show, ft. Smriti Irani and Amar Upadhyay.
