About Drishyam Franchise
The Drishyam franchise began in 2015 as a Hindi remake of the Malayalam film of the same name. Directed by the late Nishikant Kamat, the first film followed Vijay Salgaonkar, a cable TV operator from Goa who uses his love for cinema and sharp intellect to protect his family after an unexpected crime shakes their lives. The sequel, Drishyam 2, released in 2022 and took the franchise to new heights, cementing Vijay Salgaonkar as one of Hindi cinema’s most fascinating anti-heroes.
