Gourav and Shanaya Kapoor are all set to feature in an upcoming film, Tu Yaa Main. Directed by Bejoy Nambiar, the romantic thriller will clash with the Shahid Kapoor and Triptii Dimri starrer O’Romeo on February 13, 2026. The film has been creating a solid buzz amongst the masses ever since the makers released its trailer on social media. In an exclusive interaction with Zoom, Adarsh Gourav opened up about his and Shanaya’s friendship language. The White Tiger actor also explained how it was easier for them to play lovers in Tu Yaa Main. Moreover, the Kho Gaye Hum Kahan star confessed that he doesn’t consider himself charming.

During a candid chat with us, Adarsh Gourav opened up about his friendship language with co-star Shanaya Kapoor. He said that during the workshops, they would do random things which helped them build their strong bond of friendship. He also revealed that during shot breaks, Shanaya and he used to roast each other a lot. The My Name Is Khan fame said, “During breaks, we would constantly keep roasting each other. I think that was our friendship language.” When asked about the secret behind their chemistry in Tu Yaa Main, Adarsh said that it happened because of their strong bond of friendship.

Adarsh said, “It's a lot easier to play lovers if you are good friends.” We must say, the Tu Yaa Main star has bonded really well during the shoot of the Bejoy Nambiar-directed film. On the other hand, Shanaya Kapoor also showered praise on Adarsh Gourav and called him a ‘fine actor’. She also mentioned that his performance in the film inspired her a lot. Apart from that, Shanaya also spoke about social media trolling. She stated that she doesn’t pay much attention to the hate comments.

I Am Not Charming: Adarsh Gourav

Adarsh Gourav is considered one of the charming emerging actors in Bollywood. However, he himself doesn’t consider himself charming. He said, “I never really considered myself a charming person.”

He also specifically spoke about his character Aalaa and mentioned that he doesn’t like anyone to see his broken side. Adarsh said, “My character Aala doesn't want anyone to see his broken side and wants them to feel that he is always having a great time.” Tu Yaa Main also features Parul Gulati, Mona Singh and Siddharth Sibal in pivotal roles.
