However, the buzz is that the makers are now reportedly eyeing a September 2026 release for it. Amid this, a media report suggests that Hrithik Roshan has come on board for Jailer 2. The actor is said to have reunited with superstar Rajinikanth after 40 years. For the uninitiated, the Bollywood actor worked with the veteran actor in J Om Prakash's 1986 film, Bhagwaan Dada.

Hrithik Roshan to have a special appearance in Jailer 2?

According to Variety India, Hrithik will be seen making a special cameo appearance in Jailer 2. The actor apparently agreed to be a part of it after a few weeks of discussion. The latest development is that the Bollywood actor might shoot for his sequence towards the end of this month. He is expected to film his portions on June 22 and June 23. Hrithik's portions, as the report suggests, are mounted on grand scale, presenting him in a high-octane role.

That said, the 52-year-old will apparently undergo look tests as the makers are speculated to be designing a new and never-seen-before avatar for his role. A source told the magazine that Hrithik's character arrives at crucial point in Jailer 2 to help Rajinikanth's character in taking the story forward.For those unaware, Hrithik worked as a child artist in the 1986 film Bhagwaan Dada. Starring Rajinikanth in a lead role, the movie had a run time of 2 hours and 27 minutes. Rajesh Roshan served as the music director on this film, while Rakesh Roshan was associated with the project as an actor.
