Helmed by Sriram Raghavan, Ikkis is the posthumous film release of veteran actor Dharmendra. Set to release on January 1, 2026, the film had a special screening graced by prominent celebrities from the entertainment
industry, in the Mumbai city. Salman Khan made his appearance along with Rekha, Riteish Deshmukh and his wife Genelia, and of course, Dharmendra's sons, the Deol brothers, Sunny, Bobby and Abhay. For the unversed, the film is a powerful war drama about the heroics of Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal, the youngest recipient of the Param Vir Chakra, who made the supreme sacrifice at 21 during the 1971 India-Pakistan war.

Also starring Amitabh Bachchan's grandson Agastya Nanda as Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal along with Jaideep Ahlawat,
Ikkis will have the last poem of the late Dharmendra. Earlier set for a release date of December 25, the film will now hit the theatres on New Year's Day. Today, December 29, the film industry marked their presence for a special screening of the film. The lead actors,
Agastya Nanda and Jaideep Ahlawat, were spotted entering the venue for the special screening.

Dharmendra's role in the film
Last month, while unveiling a new poster featuring Dharmendra, the makers revealed his role as the father of a 21-year old immortal soldier who will bring emotional depth to the narrative of the film. The film will also feature his last poem,
