As per Deadline, spinoff series titled DC Crime is in the works at DC Studios and will stream on Max. It pulls from the world of Superman and builds around the character Jimmy Olsen, portrayed by Skyler Gisondo, who appeared in the summer Superman film. Instead of a traditional hero-series, DC Crime is described as a “true-crime docu-style” show, with Jimmy Olsen hosting or leading the investigations.For season one, the spotlight is slated to fall on the villain Gorilla Grodd. Created in 1959, Grodd is a highly intelligent, powerful ape with psychic abilities who originally battled The Flash and later crossed into Superman-related stories.
