The striking poster shows Shetty as a battle-ready Navy officer, his face streaked with blood and a weapon in hand. The reveal follows earlier character posters featuring Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, and Diljit Dosanjh, who plays an Indian Air Force officer.Makers unveiled the poster and wrote, "Stronger than the waves. Fiercer than the storm. #Border2 in cinemas 23rd January, 2026."

Legacy of the Original Border

The original Border (1997), set during the 1971 Indo-Pak war, portrayed the fierce Battle of Longewala, where a small Indian battalion held off a massive Pakistani assault. Headlined by Sunny Deol, the film became a landmark in Indian war cinema.

Directed by Anurag Singh, known for Akshay Kumar’s Kesari (2019), based on the 1897 Battle of Saragarhi. Border 2 features a star-studded ensemble: Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, Ahan Shetty, Medha Rana, Mona Singh and Sonam Bajwa.The film is produced by Bhushan Kumar, JP Dutta and Nidhi Dutta under the T-Series and JP Films banners, and presented by Gulshan Kumar & T-Series in association with J.P. Dutta’s J.P. Films.
