Tamang, last seen in Paatal Lok season 2, died of an alleged stroke at the age of 43 in Delhi on Sunday. Further details on his untimely demise are awaited. According to reports, he had returned home after his live performance in Arunachal Pradesh. Hailing from Darjeeling, he won the third season of Indian Idol. Tamang had acted in multiple Nepali films before making his web debut with Paatal Lok season 2. He was also signed for a pivotal role in the upcoming Salman Khan film, Battle Of Galwan. According to reports, the 43-year-old was declared dead at a hospital in Dwarka at approximately 9:00 AM on Sunday. The singer was touring in Arunachal Pradesh and had returned to Delhi recently. In a statement, Prashant’s friend Rajesh Ghatani said, “Today, all the Nepali singers who go and sing on big stages, the courage to reach reality shows came because of Prashant. Even when I met him just recently, he was happily saying that he had done good work in Salman’s film. Through songs and music, he connected Nepalis scattered all over the world.”
