The 35-year-old actor started trending on January 6 for a photo he posted in his Instagram stories from his Goa vacation. The photo, however, started grabbing eyeballs for a different reason altogether. Many claimed the click featured his alleged girlfriend, who, netizens believe, is a 17-year-old girl. While no further confirmation or statement was issued from Kartik or his team's end till writing this article, the photo has already gone viral on multiple social media channels.

Kartik shared a pic from his perspective of watching the setting sun. But, in what could've been a sweet memory turned a tad sour when netizens started digging out and found a similar photo from the same angle posted on the alleged girlfriend's account. In a viral Reddit post, the two photos became a topic of discussion until the girl apparently reacted to the dating rumours herself. In a reply to one of the comments, she wrote, "I’m not his gffff!!!"

Kartik, who mostly keeps his personal life under wraps, recently spoke about relationships. In an interview with Filmfare, he called himself "a very good lover." He said, "I have always been faithful. Always! Overlapping never happened."Speaking on keeping his life private, Kartik added, "When you’re in the media spotlight, you have to respect a relationship, always. And I’ve always done that. I never talk about my relationships. There will always be countless stories about every actor and their personal life… Not everything you hear is correct, and you have to understand that."
