Kerala State Awards 2024: Mammootty Named Best Actor, Film Manjummel Boys, Asif Ali Get Top Honours

The much-anticipated 55th Kerala State Film Awards has been announced on 3 November, Monday at Ramanilayam in Thrissur, with Minister for Culture and Films Saji Cherian declaring the names of the winners.
A seven-member jury chaired by actor Prakash Raj evaluated 38 films for this year’s honours. Originally scheduled for October 31, the announcement was postponed due to film screenings and a special session of the Legislative Assembly.

The Kerala State Film Awards are the film awards for a motion picture made in Kerala. The awards began in 1969 by the Department of Cultural Affairs, Government of Kerala and since 1998 the awards have been bestowed by Kerala State Chalachitra Academy on behalf of the Department of Cultural Affairs.
